ftp に上がっていると DistroWatch の feed で出掛けに見かけたので、昼に手動で CheckUpdate させたら以下のような警告が出たので入れ替え。
Firefox Update
再起動を要求される。起動しようとすると、バージョン・チェックが行われ Java Console 6.0.01 が適合しないと不動にさせられ起動する。アドオンのチェックをこれまた手動で行うと、Fuller Screen が更新させられ、またもや再起動。
OS の再起動には文句を言う人が多いが、時間が短いせいか Firefox の再起動に文句を言うのは、けしからん事らしい。

セキュリティ修正なので、全ユーザが入れ替えるべきだ。

Opera in Palm

昨日二つ目のプレスリリース。
Opera Browser Featured in the New Palm Foleo Mobile Companion
Palm の新端末 Foleo にも Opera が載るという。以前のアナウンス通り、Opera のバージョンは 9.x であろう。

米Palmは5月30日(現地時間)、同社の新しいフォームファクタとなる「Palm Foleo」を発表した。フルキーボードと10インチのLCDスクリーンを備えたノートPC型のデバイスで、スマートフォンと連携するため「スマートフォン・コンパニオン」と呼ばれている。

OS は Linux だが、ぱっと見は Symbian EPOC OS で動き、かつ Opera も載っていたかつての Psion （サイオン）を連想させる。
