Live CD

dyne:bolic 1.1.1 というのが出ていたのでサクッと焼いてみる。ノートでは net 不通。
1.1 からの変更点は AWARD BIOS 搭載機への適応らしい。X は WindowMaker が標準。起動自体は KNOPPIX の半分程。起動後にマニュアル設定画面が出てくる。ブラウザは Firebird 0.6 その他は Change Log から。
Now from Firebird 0.6 on dyne:bolic 1.1.1 on my desktop machine, which runs with AWARD BIOS! Now networking is fine. As usual, it doesn't offer Japanese input, although displaying it is OK.
Windowmaker is light and enough. Other partitions are mounted automatically not at /mnt, but /home/hdisk/hd1, hd2, hd3. Now I listen to mp3 on my FAT partition via XMMS.
version は分からないが blender というのも入っていてなかなか遊べそう。起動も終了も速いので、blender 試用ディスクとして活用出来るかも。
