Cheap indeed

Purchased a set of detachable HDD case, fit for 5-inch bay, which includes two HDD case and one socket like box, at only 980 yens at Wakamatsu-tsusyo. And got Seagate 40GB 5,400rpms hard-disk drive at 5,980 yens together. Plan to install Windows 2000 in this new HDD and use old 7,200rpm Barracuda drive only for Linux.
Dual boot from one HDD is dangerous, people say. So this might be a good solution for me.
Short Report: Assembling this set into main machine, setting HDD into mobile rack, some nuts did not fit well, one of five nuts does not fit well, so no serious problem at all. Anyway, this kind of set, I mean frame and two boxes, usually costs four thousands yens or more, so I am pleased with this under one thousand set.
While taking a shower, I come to notice 60GB is too large for Linux. Then what to do with this drive? Installing several distro, from Fedora Core 1 to FreeBSD, what's fun? OK, then duplicate the present partition? Not very fun. Don't be hasty. Relaxare.
