という答え。この辺は難しいところで、従来の考え方を代表するようなフォローも付いていた。

All three of our banks work just fine with Opera - otherwise they would not be our banks for much longer. Lets face it, if a bank's developers are incompetent enough (or lacking in understanding) to render their site incompatible with a browser as standards compliant as Opera, then their ability to process your transactions without stuuffing up has to be questioned.

• ある銀行では、Mozilla や FireFox は動かなかったが User Agent Switcher という拡張を使って Netscape 7.0.2 for Mac としたら動いたとか。
• これを受けて Rijk いわく、Firefox が share を増やせば我々にも利がある。なぜならほとんどの Firefox user はそのような拡張など入れず、直に銀行へどんどん文句を言うだろう。そうすれば Firefox に限らず secure な browser はその銀行へ入れてもらえるだろうと。まあ、そう上手く行けば良いのですが。
