正月から再び驚きのニュースが入ってきました。

Opera Software today announced that Lars Boilesen (42) has been named the company's new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. He succeeds Jon S. von Tetzchner, who co-founded the company in 1995 and has served as Chief Executive Officer since that time. Jon von Tetzchner will continue to serve Opera full-time in a strategic and independent capacity.

The new year often brings with it a series of changes, some large and some small. I would like to share one change at Opera with you all. After 15 wonderful years leading Opera as its Chief Executive Officer, I have decided the time is right to move into a free, more independent role within the company I co-founded along with my friend, Geir Ivarsøy.
